Porchester BUILDING
Located in Notting Hill directly next to the Great Western mainline, the Porchester Building is a celebrated example of Edwardian industrial architecture, originally completed in 1907 for the Great Western Railway. Once home to the railway’s ticket printing department, the building now houses high-specification media-style offices.
The building was further transformed by an ambitious extension, adding four luxurious penthouses across newly constructed fourth and fifth floors. The extension enhances the building’s skyline presence while exemplifying a sensitive yet forward-thinking approach to adaptive reuse; celebrating its historic character while delivering modern, luxury living.
Each penthouse contains expansive open-plan living areas with retractable 450 sq ft glazed roof lights, spa-inspired bathrooms, and bespoke copper kitchens. Premium finishes include studio-grade acoustic insulation, Tom Dixon lighting, and leather parquet flooring by Bill Amberg. Private roof terraces offer either rooftop pools or cedar-clad hot tubs, accessed via the feature stair and an innovative mechanised glazed roof light.
