103 Colmore Row

103 Colmore Row is a new 26-storey building in the heart of Birmingham’s Central Business District providing over 220,000sq ft of Grade A office accommodation over 20 floors. The collective vision for the project was to create a landmark building worthy of the Big City Plan and deliver an inspiring office environment that sets a new benchmark for commercial values for Birmingham.

The design concept emerged out of the reconciliation of unique opportunities and complex challenges. The opportunity to deliver a true high-rise office building needed to be balanced by the demands of providing a building that is both commercially efficient and appropriate within its historic Conservation Area location.

The development not only provides versatile high-quality workspace but also gives new and generous public space to the city. It is truly a product where workspace, leisure, culture, and civic spaces can mutually benefit from the economies of scale. Indeed, the association with ambition and confidence that the built form exudes, together with the building’s cultural or social spaces, have been fundamental to attracting occupiers to this speculative development who want to be part of the story of the building.
